  1. I am in tears. My brother’s eldest son is in prison, for life they say. He is a young man, with mental illness that kept him in hospitals for much of his youth. Over the years he has written poetry. I gently encourage him to write more. Of course I will happily publish a book of his works if for nothing else, but to give him something to be proud of in his life. However, even the most basic of needs such as soap, shampoo, etc. must be supplied by money from outside the prison sources. Perhaps a book he would write would help with that. ❤ God Bless us, everyone.

    1. Oh, Annette, I am so sorry for your nephew and his situation. All I can tell you is that the fifteen years my husband sat in prison, the only way he kept his sanity was by occupying his hands and mind in positive ways. He was an artistic person by nature, but developed it all so much more behind bars. You are right to encourage your nephew to continue to pus his thoughts, desires, fears and anything else he wants to express in writing. Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. Maybe if you sent him this poetry book, Discovery, for Christmas, it would inspire him. I’d be thrilled to autograph one to him. Again, thanks so much for your comment.

      1. Thanks so much, Jan. I will see if he is allowed to have books. I know it sounds weird but while he was awaiting his transfer to where he is now, we were not allowed to send him anything that he could keep, such as photographs, etc. I need to ask my brother if he knows the rules. I do believe that God is with him every step of the way and that someway, somehow, his soul will find peace. ❤
